It was a distinct privilege for us to work on this British Columbia iconic classic yacht interior design project. The Hotei has been in the same family since it was built in 1986, it has a rich history including hosting Prince Charles and Princess Diana for Expo in 1986. We were charmed by the history of the boat and our intention was to retain that charm while creating the modern simple aesthetic desired by the client. The Hotei was a complete refit taking over two years to complete. A new deck was added and the whole interior was redone. The structural concepts and work on the boat was done by Platinum Shipyard in their facility in Richmond.
